Time.
It’s such a fickle mistress.
Many see time as only flowing in one direction, a beginning to an end. Like a parade, they see it only as it passes by: one thing after another, a sequence that can go no direction but forward. They don’t see it from above, with all the twists and turns it might, or might not, take.
You see, time isn’t just a linear sequence of events. It is, in a phrase, a ‘big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-whimey stuff’. Most just don’t know how to harness it in a way to break the linearity that most experience.
